The Supreme Court has made two rulings that drastically increase the power of the government. The first being the medical marijuana ruling in which the majority opinion basically allowed the government to regulate anything. The second being on emminient domain in which case they ruled that local governments can take private property to be used for private development.

If I could I would give an award to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, and Justice Clarence Thomas I would. They deserve an award for their dissenting opinions in these two cases. In each case they expressed their concern about a governemnt that can regulate everything and that can take anything.

Props to them for standing up for our rights.
