ICANN is taking a beating over the proposed XXX top-level doamin. Mainly from right wingers and sex fearing governments. The Family Resource Center is an organization at the front of this assault. From their page condemning the XXX TLD I did learn some new things:

• There is a pornography problem on the Internet.
• Someone who distributes hard-core pornography on the Internet can have their house forfeited.
• Attorney General Gonzalez is setting up a task force to stamp out porn on the Internet.

Lets outline those one more time:

• People really really want to look at pictures of people having sex on the Internet, and people make money by providing that service.
• The government can steal your house if you feel like filming yourself doing the dirty and then post it on the Internet.
• Attorney General Speedy Gonzalez is gearing up to waste our war on terrorism dollars persecuting the porn industry because the root of Islamic fascism is our beautiful women getting rammed by overly muscular guys.

So head on over to the FRC's page and make use of their little form to support ICANN's newest TLD.

Scratch that. As expected from a right wing site they've made their message body and subject line read only so people can't write and think for themselves.
