Lets see, the remote app will only be able to send commands to X. It might be able to lock it up, but that's about it. I could be missing something if X allows apps to get information from other windows. There is also the possibility of having the app connect to an embedded X server too.
It's also a lot better than downloading a random app and executing it on your machine, even if it is JIT compiled byte-code for MS's VM.
