I just read Rove's Leak Points to Bush Conspiracy. I'm left wondering what I should think about an article whose author plugs/cites his own book. It wouldn't be to bad, but he refers to himself in the third person by name as well. Perhaps he was trying to sound objective hoping no one would notice, or this could be a normal practice.

Doing a quick random sample, it looks like the same author has writen most of the articles up on that site. So I wouldn't be surprised if he is also the editor.

editor's fault
anything added with [text here] is inserted by the editor and not the author. If you removed the [] text, then there is no reference except a footnote at the end.
basically, its not the author thats at fault, it is the editor.
